Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast
![]()
What we offer is a stay in a family home, with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. We have two double and one twin room, all with en suite bathrooms with bath and shower over and colour televisions. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in each bedroom and the house is centrally heated. There is a separate lounge for guests with colour television and video/DVD. Tea and home made cake is normally offered on arrival. On day of arrival, rooms are normally available after 4pm (earlier by arrangement), but after 5pm on Fridays and Saturdays (due to fact we have cottage changeovers on these days). On day of departure, rooms must be vacated by 10.30am. In addition to cereals and toast, a full English breakfast (or any variation) is served around a farmhouse table, and home made preserves are usually available.
Guests have the use of the swimming pool during opening hours from Easter to October (please note that guests must provide their own towels for use in the pool) and games room facilities provided for our self catering cottages. Information leaflets on local attractions and maps are available, as is a pay phone. We have plenty of off road parking and cycle storage is provided in a Dutch barn. Washing and drying facilities are also available in our "Wash House".
There is no need to travel into Padstow for an evening meal as the excellent "Pickwick Inn" is walking distance - about 1/2 mile. The village pub, the Ring O'Bells, one mile away, also has a varied menu and a friendly atmosphere. It is a beautiful 2.5 mile walk (approximately 45 minutes) into Padstow, along footpaths and the Camel trail.
Our bed and breakfast rates are per person per night and based on 2 sharing. For one night stays, a £5 supplement is added to the total cost. There is a minimum £10 single occupancy surcharge. One night stays and single occupancy are subject to availability and are not normally available at weekends or in late May to October, unless the booking is at short notice. Whilst we are happy to accommodate family parties, as we are only able to take a total of 6 guests and are always fully booked at peak periods, we regret that we cannot offer any discounts for younger guests (including babies in cots). Usually this means that we can only take families of 4 (ie 2 bedrooms), with each member paying the full rate (whether sharing a room or not).
