The Old Round House
The Old Round House is now booked until 4th October, but Parc en Vine Cottage has some availability in September. Couples are being offered a special rate during this period - the cottage can be booked for the same price as the Old Round House for the same week.

If both of our one bedroom cottages are booked, we may be able to offer a two bedroom cottage at the same price as the Old Round House (for 2 people only), during quieter periods.
A unqiue single storey cottage converted from an old round house in which the corn was ground with a donkey driving a central mill stone. This was a common feature on many old Cornish farms, and the remaining big wooden beams help to give the cottage great charm.
The cottage has a stable door leading into the kitchen, which has maple shaker style cupboards, an ‘oak’ effect worktop and attractive pale blue and lime splash back tiling around the worktops. An electric fan oven with rapid heat red spot hot plates, a microwave and fridge/freezer provide the essentials, with cafetiere, rapid boil kettle and toaster providing extra comfort and convenience. Feature lighting is provided by an overhead halogen 4 spot bar and under cupboard lighting above the worktops. Crockery is is a timeless Poole pottery design.
Leading from the kitchen, the attractive semi-circular living room has an impressive vaulted ceiling with some original exposed beams and a Cornish slate wood burning open fireplace. A round drop leaf heavy pine dining table provides romantic dining for two, or can be opened to accommodate dining for four. A three seater sofa and armchair are arranged around the fireplace and television with both VHS video recorder and DVD player. A DVD music centre provides alternative entertainment. Lighting is by two dimmable spots, obscured down lighting or table lights, as the mood dictates.
Double glazed french doors from the living room open onto a small south facing fenced garden with extensive views overlooking open farmland, St Breock Downs and the Little Petherick Creek valley. Patio furniture is provided for guests use. The patio area can be lit at night by an outside light.
The charming double bedroom has coordinated shaker style bedroom furniture including a double bed, with coordinated duvet and curtains.
The bathroom is fitted with a quality thermostatic mixer shower over the bath, vanity light with shaver adapter and a heated towel rail.
