Parc en Vine was converted from a stunning 200 year old farmhouse into an even more beautiful self-catering holiday cottage. Located on the edge of the village of St Issey, close to Padstow and the north Cornwall coast, it is a wonderful place to stop and rest after a day spent discovering the beautiful county of Cornwall. A stunning holiday cottage suitable for families with children, or couples on their own.
St Issey is a character Cornish village with the church and village pub at the heart. The cottage is very quiet and peacefully located, yet so close to everything you could possibly want for a truly wonderful holiday or short break in Cornwall. The holiday cottage is just a short walk from one of two village pubs, which both boast excellent food, using local produce and have a great Cornish atmosphere. Padstow is only 3 miles away, a short ten minute drive away or can be reached by a slow leisurely walk, taking time to admire the views, along quiet lanes and footpaths onto the Camel Trail. Wadebridge is just 4 miles in the other direction. With so much to see and do in the area, when you get to the end of your holiday, you'll always wish that you had stayed longer. But you can always come back – as many of our guests do!
Take a look around the Cottage
Ideally situated on the edge of St Issey village, the holiday cottage has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard with the attention to detail that gives you that home from home feeling. Everything about the cottage makes you relax and feel at home. It oozes charm from the moment you walk in, through a fantastically equipped kitchen with beech block work surfaces and Belfast sink, into a cosy living room with feature gas stove, and it does not stop there. A trip upstairs takes you to a stunning master bedroom and a beautiful bathroom with it's antique freestanding bath, then a second short flight of stairs leading you to the second bedroom with it's lovely countryside views. Outside the garden has a lovely seating area which always seems to be in the sun – whether you are drinking coffee in the morning, or sipping a glass of wine to relax later in the day.
Parc en Vine Cottage is one mile from Trevorrick Farm and if you wish to, you can use all the facilities that Trevorrick farm has to offer free of charge.
Beds are made up for your arrival, towels are available to hire (£3 per set). In line with our green tourism policy, we actively promote the efficient use of energy. The cost of rental includes 14 units of electricity per day (100 units per week) and 0.5m3 gas per day for hot water, which we have found to typically cover normal consumption. Additional units used are charged at cost: 12.5p per kWh for electricity, £2.35 per cubic meter for LPG gas, both by meter reading. Any additional utility charges are deducted from the deposit.
During the cooler months (2nd October to 15th May), 1.5m3 of gas per day is included in the rental, in addition to 14 units of electricity per day. Again, additional units are charged at cost as above. Again, this will cover most peoples energy consumption, whilst still promoting efficient use.
For the comfort of all our guests, we strictly do not allow smoking in the cottage.
