We hope that our guests will follow current government guidance.

Our Covid refund guarantee

If you are unable to travel to take your holiday because of a national lockdown, or because your local area is put into a Tier where you are not allowed to travel, we guarantee that you will get a full refund. This applies only to the address given on the booking form at the time of booking and when the travel restriction coincides with the start of your holiday with us.

The refund guarantee covers national lockdowns and Tier restrictions, but does NOT cover you (or any member of your party) for being unable to travel because you (or a member of your party) fall ill with Covid, or are required to quarantine or self-isolate. These events can be covered by you taking out travel insurance. There are a number of policies that include cover for illness with Covid and self-isolation. We can provide you with some examples, on request, or you can look for suitable cover on comparison sites such as GoCompare. We are not selling, promoting, endorsing or recommending any particular product, and do not benefit financially from, nor have any formal relationship with, any of these insurance providers.

All new bookings benefit from Cancelcover protection meaning you can basically cancel for any reason EXCEPT you or a member of your party having Covid for which you will need travel insurance as above.

Cleaning regime

Our cottages have continually scored top marks for cleanliness when assessed annually with VisitEngland. The main Covid transmission has now been shown to be airborne rather than touch. We will continue to ask guests to ventilate their cottages during their stay and particularly on the morning of departure. We will use a virucide on high touch surfaces as appropriate.

Otherwise the cottages are back to normal.

We will still ask guests to bag up pillow cases, duvet covers and sheets plus towels to protect ourselves at the end of your stay (and open windows), if they can.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool slots necessary because of Covid, had great feedback and did mean guests does mean had the luxury of the pool to themselves. We are continuing with this at present as it was so popular, but will be looking at some communal slots during busier times. Guests are quite welcome to make their own booked slot a communal slot if they would like other families to join them.

Other facilities

We are working towards reopening areas that have been closed for the last two years including the games room (which has been used for storage), pool changing room, shower and toilet (once we have decided how to fit use of these around pool slots, and large play house. However in view of current high case numbers and lack of ventilation, and the need to refresh usage of these areas, these are not open at present.

Communal animal feeding activities

We hope guests who have Covid symptoms will choose not to participate to protect ourselves and other guests.

Booking in advance for attractions and restaurants

Note many pubs, restaurants and attractions still need to be booked in advance.
