Spring at Trevorrick is all about our Woolly Friends

We have sheep here all year round and watching all of our guests – from the biggest to the very smallest – discover the magic of these woolly wonders is really lovely. And maybe just maybe Spring will bring us some lambs to enjoy too.

At Trevorrick Farm, guests of all ages can enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience: taking a sheep for a walk on a halter. Imagine a gentle, woolly friend by your side as you lead them around the farm and up the lane to see the glorious view towards the Iron Bridge and over the Camel Estuary. It’s a delightful and unique activity that’s sure to be a memorable highlight for both children and adults alike.

Walking a sheep on a halter is an opportunity to bond with these gentle animals and get a closer look at their endearing personalities. The sheep are friendly, and a few tame ones usually occupy our large “sheep” playing field, and they enjoy playing alongside visitors, as well as keeping the grass down: environmentally friendly lawn mowers! They provide a slow-paced and peaceful walk that allows you to connect with nature in a truly special way. For kids, it’s an exciting and educational experience as they learn how to handle and care for a farm animal. And adults, too, find it’s a relaxing and novel activity—a welcome escape from everyday routines, bringing out the inner child in all of us!

In spring, Trevorrick Farm becomes even more enchanting with the (hopeful!) arrival of lambs from February half-term onwards. Guests can see and interact with the newborn lambs, which brings an added sense of joy to the farm experience. There’s something truly heartwarming about watching the lambs play and hearing their soft bleats echo across the farm. It’s a rare opportunity to witness the early stages of farm life, and for many, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see lambs up close.

Walking sheep and spending time with lambs make Trevorrick Farm a unique, hands-on farm stay that combines fun and learning. These experiences create memories to cherish and give guests an authentic glimpse into the rhythms of countryside life.
