some of our friendly farm animals

Trevorrick Farm is the perfect place to explore from with your family

Guests of all ages have the opportunity to meet and interact with a variety of friendly farm animals. From kune kune pigs to the inquisitive sheep, every day on the farm is a chance to experience the joys of rural life with Farmer Melanie. A highlight of your stay will be the animal sessions, usually five mornings a week, where you can help feed and handle our farm animals, including chickens, ducks, sheep, a pony and more. Whether it’s cuddling a guinea pig or walking a sheep on a halter around the farm, it’s an experience that delights children and adults alike. So, come along and enjoy a true hands-on farm experience!

The charming free-range Aylesbury ducks, known for their waddling walk, often steal the spotlight as they parade through the farm. Guests can admire the ducks’ comical formations, often led by a drake. Muscovy ducks are very friendly and there may be fluffy ducklings hatched in spring/summer.

These small, friendly pigs, predominately grass eating, may free range the fields in the sumer months, but often come to call. Their playful personalities and lovely grunting noises make them a favorite among children and adults alike.

We currently have one Golden Guernsey goat, Wren, known for her playful antics and ability to escape enclosures. This smaller sized breed of goat loves attention and enjoys nibbling treats like carrots from guests’ hands

Snowflake, the farm’s Shetland pony, is gentle and enjoys being groomed and led around the paddock by visitors. This experience is appealing to guests of all ages who enjoy petting and walking Snowflake.

A highlight for younger children, the guinea pigs are cuddly and gentle. Guests can feed them, and they often find holding these small animals calming. These animals are a key part of the farm’s petting experience.

Imagine a gentle, woolly friend by your side as you lead them around the farm and up the lane to see the glorious view towards the Iron Bridge and over the Camel Estuary. It’s a delightful and unique activity that’s sure to be a memorable highlight for the whole family. From February half term to Easter we may have young lambs.
